After the recent wave of the Covid_19 virus that swept NW Syria, the importance of receiving the vaccine became clear, and the importance of correcting misinformation and rumors about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine.
The awareness campaign about the Covid_19 vaccine was launched by the implementation of AFAQ team in coordination with WHO, Syrian Immunization Group (SIG), Idleb health directorate, and humanitarian partners.
The main objective of this campaign is to protect the community and our families by receiving the COVID_19 vaccine; the campaign includes several activities, most notably:
- Visits to the households and patients’ families with Covid_19 in Idleb camps by awareness teams.
- Purposeful plays for children, which nourish the idea of taking the vaccine and in conjunction also presenting the idea of the vaccine to the children’s parents
- celebrities in public places such as religious leaders and influencers some other performances
- Visits to markets (Pazars) and crowded places
- establishing hotlines to provide information and answer the questions related to COVID_19, and vaccination.
Activities are carried out with community vaccination teams as a quick and immediate response to those who wish after knowing the importance of the vaccine
